Beautiful Solar Websites

Solar Website Design and Development

A Modern, Mobile-Optimised Solar Website Is Just The Beginning

We'll work with you to design and develop a website that completments your business goals.

With our expertise in web design and development along with digital marketing, we'll deliver a website that will boost your lead generation and conversion rates.

What To Expect Working with the XEN Solar Team

We've been building websites for more than 10 years now - and in that time we've learnt a few key lessons on how to make a new website development successful.

Below is a quick overview of the process we use when working with you - to ensure you are delivered a website that is functional, beautiful and focused on your business goals.

When we say 'efficiently' we mean we take care of it all - we know solar, so there's no wasted time in back and forth.

The XEN Solar 5-Step Solar Website Design Process

1. Research

We begin by making sure we have a clear understanding of the following items:

  • your business goals
  • key products and services you want to promote on your website
  • the ideal customers you are trying to target
  • what's unique about your company over your competitors
  • the benefits your customers get from working with you

2. Content

Next, we ask you to send us all of the content you have available for us to use on your new website. This includes things like:

  • logo files,
  • images,
  • videos
  • copy
  • contact details
  • social media profiles and the like

3. Design

Based on the research and the content, we then start to work on the design of your new website.

4. Build

Next, we bring the approved designs to life. If you already have a website, we keep that live while we are working on the redesigned site.

5. Deployment

Once the site build is finished, we then test to make sure:

  • it all works as it should on all devices
  • there are no typos or broken bits
  • Google knows what your site is about

From our first dealings with Kylie and her team at XEN Solar, we were relieved to have found a Team that were efficient and able to take the lead with the construction of our new website, after liaising with us to understand our aesthetics and content requirements. The Team were extremely patient and understanding and met our often difficult time schedules, to gain the input from both Directors. The end result is the brief has been met, with minimal remaining input required from us, and a great platform to move forward with further marketing with Xen planned to compliment. It is rare to find a Company who delivers exactly what they promise, on budget, it has been a pleasure to deal with Kylie and the Team.

Project Scope

Inclusions and Exclusions

We highly value our customer relationships and we do our best to make sure you're happy with the work we do. We find it helps to make sure we are both on the same page from the start about what's included and what's not to avoid any confusion later on.

What's included:

  • Content: We rely on you to provide us with content for your site but we can provide stock images / stock video if needed. We can also create custom images and illustrations if required.
  • Design: The number of pages included in the design is based on the typical requirements of a mid-level site. As such we anticipate a maximum of 20 different page layouts (including ecommerce pages such as cart and checkout).
  • Revisions: We allow for up to three revisions per page but we're pretty flexible within reason.
Development: The site will be developed on WordPress or HubSpot and will look good on all devices - desktop, tablet, mobile.
  • Forms & Email Integrations: We will create contact and/or quote forms and will integrate these with your email marketing software - e.g. HubSpot or MailChimp.
  • Content population: We will populate content on the site, including product pages, services pages, training course, products. We anticipate approximately 50-60 pages to be added. If there will be considerably more pages required we may need to review our costing guidance below.
  • Quality Assurance Testing: We have testing and quality assurance processes, and will have our in-house Q&A team vet all websites we deploy.
  • Analytics & Reporting Setup: We will make sure Google indexes your website and will set up Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console as required.
  • Hosting Setup on WP Engine (WordPress only): If your site is developed in WordPress, we recommend WP Engine as your WordPress hosting provider and include setup and optimisation of your WP Engine environment. We can optionally provide hosting on our own WP Engine account (invoiced separately). If your site is developed in HubSpot, there are no additional hosting requirements (since HubSpot does all the hosting).

Optional extras

  • Personalised Photography & Video: We can provide stock imagery or photos & video you provide, but we don't take on-site photos or video of your business.
  • Copywriting: We can provide in-depth website copywriting (eg sales copywriting) as an additional option to your new website project.
  • Email Marketing setup and implementation: If you have specific email follow-up processes (eg nurture workflows, abandoned cart automation and other marketing processes) you will need to advise specifics in order for us to integrate into the site. If required, we can work with you to implement marketing processes (eg in HubSpot) as an additional service.
  • Hosting setup on hosts other than WP Engine (WordPress): If you use other WordPress hosting, we may need additional time allocated to setup and optimisation. If so, these hours will be additional to the costing guidance below.
  • Ongoing site updates: We'd love to work closely with you in an ongoing arrangement, to help with website updates, marketing strategy and campaigns. If interested, these services can be viewed here.
